Scaling is used to remove calculus from teeth. This module will train the user in the correct method for removing calculus and root planning. To maximize the scaling procedure instruction, the training will be done though a Learning Management System with reporting mechanisms and simulations. This module will enhance the skills and knowledge of practicing oral hygienists as well as those who are studying to be dentists, dental hygiene and assistants.
The module will start with the scaling of a simple object, such as a box. After the simple shape, the next stage will involve scaling a more complex shape with multiple curves. The next stage will feature full rows of upper and lower teeth. Finally the user will have to do a full diagnosis and calculus removal on a virtual mouth.
